NORTH PATHS, flat - wide - unique
Enjoyable hiking, North German style. Hiking is the ideal way to explore and enjoy the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in every season. Explore nature on foot! Be one with nature. Breathe deeply and relax in the fresh air and natural tranquility. In winter, when snow blankets the landscape in white; in spring, with the lush green of meadows and trees; in summer, when the cornflowers bloom; or in autumn, during the "Indian Summer" in the forests. The rolling hills of the Geest, the diverse landscape, and the numerous museums guarantee variety. The absence of steep climbs makes hiking a leisurely pleasure. Let yourself be captivated by the unique nature of our region. The quality of the NORDPFADE trails also promises the ultimate hiking experience!
At the end of your hike, you are welcome to stop by our restaurant or spend a comfortable night in our hotel. As a certified quality hiking accommodation provider, we cater to the needs of hikers.
NORTH PATHS
The gentle breeze, the flat landscape, the expansive views, and the tranquility of northern Germany – this is the best way to describe hiking on the Nordpfade trails near Rotenburg (Wümme), between Bremen and Hamburg. Here you'll find an oasis of northern German serenity, completely free of hustle and bustle and, of course, without any mountains. For the 10.3 km Nordpfad Dör't Moor winds its way between moor, forest, and heath, past the Großer Bullensee lake, a small observation tower overlooking the moorland, and a picnic area in the countryside where, with advance notice, you can reserve a table laden with regional delicacies. The views across the landscape are also beautiful, where no hill or mountain obstructs the view to the horizon, allowing your thoughts to wander far, far away. Only occasionally, and with a bit of luck, will a deer leap across the path, a trumpeting crane glide overhead, or a frog croak merrily through its wet realm.
Five NORDPFADE trails are located in our immediate vicinity. The NORDPFAD Wümmeniederung, with a total length of 32.5 km, runs directly past our house. The other four NORDPFADE trails in the area are easily accessible.
