Our district capital, Rotenburg (Wümme), and the equestrian town of Verden (Aller), known for its horse racing, are also within easy reach. The nearby Hanseatic cities of Bremen and Hamburg, as well as the Lüneburg Heath and the Altes Land region, are also easily accessible. The Heide Park in Soltau, the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, the Walsrode Bird Park, and the Magic Park in Verden can all be reached quickly. And right next door (about 5 km away) is the dodenhof shopping center, the largest shopping mall in Northern Germany.
